MPLS_SPBGP 1.0 Classroom Training
The Applying MPLS in Service Provider Backbones and Scaling BGP (MPLS_SPBGP) course focuses on the MPLS applications and related design issues in Service Provider backbones. The course starts with discussion on the IGP and BGP scaling and deployment issues in Service Provider networks. The Multiprotocol BGP is introduced afterwards. The MPLS VPN theory and implementation details are explained. The major focus of the course is on the MPLS VPN applications where several VPN topologies and solutions are explained in details. In addition, the Any-Transport-over-MPLS (ATOM) and the Carrier's Carrier (CsC) applications are described. The course concludes with an extensive discussion on the MPLS Traffic Engineering (MPLS TE). Most of the sessions are coupled with extensive hands-on labs where students verify the design implications of MPLS and its applications in Service Provider backbones.
