CCNA Update - NIL v1.0

This set of remote lab exercises (lab bundle) contains exercises that have been introduced in the recent ICND 1 1.0 and ICND 2 1.0 courses or have been updated from former versions of the courses (INTRO 2.1 and ICND 2.3). The exercise enable you to update your existing skills or gain new skills associated with the recently added content to the courses. The lab bundle represents a delta between the previous and the recent versions of the CCNA courses.

This set of lab exercises contains the following exercises:

Objectives

Upon finishing this set of exercises, you will be able to:
Use Cisco SDM to configure a DHCP pool of addresses

  • Use Cisco SDM to verify at least one DHCP client has received an address from the pool just created
  • Use Cisco IOS commands to locate the switch port through which the DHCP client is attaching to your workgroup switch
  • Use Cisco SDM to configure the WAN Ethernet interface with an IP address
  • Use Cisco SDM to configure the router to support PAT of the inside Ethernet interface to through the WAN Ethernet interface
  • Use Cisco SDM to verify that the configuration matches the requirements of the lab
  • Use the CLI to test and observe that PAT is taking place through the WAN Ethernet interface
  • Discover switched network connectivity issues
  • Re-establish connectivity by correcting port security settings
  • Re-establish connectivity by correcting port trunking configuration
  • Monitor the functioning of the Spanning Tree Protocol after connectivity issues are resolved.
  • Discover OSPF network connectivity issues and follow troubleshooting guidelines to isolate and fix OSPF connectivity problems.
  • Discover EIGRP network connectivity issues
  • Discover and correct EIGRP authentication errors
  • Troubleshoot automatic route summarization behavior
  • Verify EIGRP connectivity and use debug commands
  • Discover Frame Relay network connectivity issues, such as the functionality of the LMI interface
  • Use the show and debug commands to display information about PVCs
  • Re-establish Frame Relay connectivity
  • Determine how to allocate IPv6 addresses for the assigned routers, given an IPv6 numbering scheme and a prefix
  • Configure router interfaces for IPv6 and assign addresses
  • Configure RIP to support IPv6 and IPv6 addresses
  • Configure and verify a dual-stack router configuration

This lab bundle is highly recommended to individuals who hold the CCNA certification based on the INTRO 2.1 and ICND 2.3 courses and would like to re-certify based on the ICND 1 and ICND 2 courses version 1.0.

Prerequisite Knowledge
